Norshuka — Նոր Շուկա — means "the new marketplace" in Armenian. It is a classifieds platform created specifically for Armenian communities across North America: Montréal, Laval, Toronto, Glendale, and New York.
Armenian diaspora communities have always been tight-knit — people share apartments near the church, hire each other's children, source caterers who know how to make manti and khorovats. But this commerce has always happened in WhatsApp groups, Facebook pages, and through word-of-mouth — scattered, untrusted, and invisible to newcomers.
Norshuka brings that community marketplace online, with listings in Armenian, French, and English, and a verification layer that tells you who you are dealing with before you pick up the phone.
We believe classifieds work best when buyer and seller share more than a transaction. When you rent from someone who speaks your grandmother's language, or hire a tradesperson who grew up two blocks from your parish, something different happens. Trust is built before the first message is sent.
Norshuka is free to list. It will always be free to list. We are not a brokerage, not an agent, not a middleman. We are a directory — curated, verified, and maintained by the community itself.
Every listing is reviewed before it goes live. Every seller profile is human-verified. Every message goes to a real person, not an algorithm. That is the only way we know how to do this.
Sellers on Norshuka can earn a Verified badge. Verification is a manual process — we review identification documents and a phone number to confirm the person behind the listing is real.
Verified badges are displayed on seller profiles and listing cards. They are not a guarantee of product quality or transaction safety — they are a signal that the seller has passed our identity check.
